What is Envato Purchase Code?

A purchase code is a license identifier in the form of a unique numerical code. On Envato Market, the purchase code is issued with an item upon purchase and is included in the item’s License Certificate.

On the other hand – just in case you may get confused –  Envato purchase code, envato market license, purchase key and the license key is the same thing. It’s a unique key that contains numbers and letters. You receive it upon purchase.

Where to Find Envato Purchase Code?

  1. Log into your Envato Market account.
  2. Hover the mouse over your username at the top of the screen.
  3. Click ‘Downloads’ from the drop-down menu.`
  4. Click ‘License certificate & purchase code’ (available as PDF or text file).

How to Activate Theme With Purchase Code?

As per Envato rules, 1 purchase code can be used only for 1 single site. If you have – for example – two different sites, then you have to have 2 seperate lisence in order to get updates, plugins, demodata and support. In other words, each domain requires a seperate license.

When you upload the theme and run wizard demo installer, you’re going to see a field, in which you need to add your purchase code before you access to the demodata, plugins etc. You need to make sure your purchase code is valid to get it to work properly.

There are some cases, in which you can use the same purchase code.

  1. When you install the theme on your local server and finally move it to your main domain.
  2. When you work on a test domain before you migrate it to your main domain.
