<span class=”tlid-translation translation” lang=”en” tabindex=”-1″>In the context of work, motivation is one of the important factors in encouraging an employee to work. Motivation is the willingness of individuals to spend high efforts to achieve organizational goals (Stephen P. Robbins, 2001). There are three key elements in motivation, namely effort, organizational goals and needs. Effort is a measure of intensity. If someone is motivated then he will try his best to reach the goal, but not necessarily high efforts will produce high performance. Therefore, the intensity and quality of these efforts are needed and focused on the organization’s goals. Needs are internal conditions that give rise to impetus, where unmet needs will create stresses that stimulate impulses from within the individual. This encouragement raises search behavior to find a specific goal. If it turns out that there is a need fulfillment, then a voltage reduction will occur. Basically, motivated employees are in a tense condition and try to reduce tension by making efforts. watch live football In general, high performance is associated with high motivation. Conversely, low motivation is associated with low performance. Someone’s performance is sometimes not related to the competencies they have, because there are self factors and work environment that affect performance.</span>
